Good morning and God bless all of us, our families, our friends, our neighbors, and our enemies. Lord have mercy.
Consecration to the Sacred Heart Of Jesus
O Jesus, I know that You are gentle, that You have given Your Heart for me, crowned with the thorns of my sins. I know well that today You still pray for me so that I will not be lost.
Jesus, remember me even when I fall into sin. Through Your Most Sacred Heart, enable me to love everyone that hatred may disappear from among men. Show me Your Love. I love You and wish that You would protect me with the Heart of the Good Shepherd.
Enter into every heart. Lord Jesus! Knock on the doors of my heart with patience and persistence. I am still locked within myself, for I have not understood Your Will. O Jesus, continue to knock that my heart may open up to You, especially when I remember the Passion which You suffered for all mankind. AMEN
Consecration to the Immaculate Heart Of Mary
O Immaculate Heart of Mary, overflowing with goodness, show me Your Love. May the flame of Your Heart, O Mary, descend on all people. I love You so very much. Impress true love in my heart. May my heart yearn for You! O Mary, Sweet and Humble of Heart, remember me even when I sin. You know that I am a sinner. Through Your Most Immaculate and Motherly Heart, heal me of every spiritual illness. Make me capable of realizing the beauty of Your Motherly Heart, and in this way, I may be converted by the flame of Your Most Immaculate Heart. AMEN
Didn't know if I already gave these. These and the Supplication to God are 3 from Medjugorje.
Well so far we have heart, body and soul. Soon I am sure we will have the mind. "The likeness of God". Awesome.
O God come to my assistance;
O Lord make haste to help me.
Robert Parisien: December 4 at 2:30 am.
Good morning to all,
Our body being the temple of the Holy Spirit; I sure wish I had that knowledge and wisdom I have now than when I was in my twenties. Being a soldier for 24 years, I had to corrupt this body with a few tattoo. I'm sure glad for the conversion, faith and strength God has given me to carry on this pilgrimage. I sure need it with the constant battle that the evil spirit keep on attacking me. Sure proud of my kids that console me last night as I receive bleak news from my oncologist. I sure enjoy this forum and the knowledge & wisdom some of you expert bring to this program. God bless you all and your family.
Scott Reddicks: December 4 at 2:41 am.
God bless you Robert, Peace in our Lord Jesus Christ. May His Divine assistance remain always with us.
Thank you for protecting our country. Back then it was an awesome one. Maybe one day it will be again. We need to get back to loving one another. Thinking about the other guy for a long lost change.
Why, O Lord did we stray so far. I know Your judgements come and we have deserved them all, for Thou art a Just and Merciful God. Lord have mercy.
Unreg Subscriber: December 4 at 3:45 am.
The Church teaches that this distinction does not introduce a duality into the soul. "Spirit" signifies that from creation man is ordered to a supernatural end and that his soul can gratuitously be raised beyond all it deserves to communion with God.
How awesome, if we got what we deserved there would be no hope.
joan nolan: December 4 at 4:03 am.
Robert, I'll add you and your family to my Advent prayer list.
Richard Stroup: December 4 at 5:10 am.
Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of this forum and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, drive out all cancers, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.
Robert Parisien: December 4 at 5:12 am.
Thank you so much Joan; and I will also pray for blessings for you and your family.

@Robert Parisien: Robert, you are a soldier for us and you are soldier for God. Your testimony on this forum has helped draw me closer to our Lord and Saviour. Your Purple Heart awaits you in Heaven for your faithful service and devotion to us and to Him. I salute you and thank you from the very bottom of my heart. God bless you.

Mary Lou, Scott gave a signal about it, here it is from his from his 3:19 post: "Well so far we have heart, body and soul. Soon I am sure we will have the mind. "The likeness of God". Awesome."
Regina Barzyk: December 4 at 6:17 am.
@ Scott what a beautiful way to start the day with the Consecration to Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
I own some copies of Consecration but had never seen this one.
Robert, your look on the past makes us all realize we have a long way to go, as each day we trim off some residue from our lives, by the Grace of God, so one day we may say:
"One body, one soul, one spirit, one heart and yes one mind, going... ascending to God through Jesus! Amen!"
Regina Barzyk: December 4 at 6:21 am.
@ Richard S beautiful prayer of healing! our hearts do crave prayer!
Angie Richert: December 4 at 6:33 am.
Thank you Scott for your prayer today...I love reading prayers I have never heard before and adding them to my "scrapbook". Robert - thank you for your service to our country and I pray for you and your family. Today I will boldly pray for the miracle of healing for you.

~it is because of its spiritual soul that the body made of matter becomes a living, human body; spirit and matter, in man, are not two natures united, but rather their union forms a single nature.

@Robert...I, too, say thank you for your service and I pray for healing and peace of body, soul and mind for you today and always.
Have a blessed day everyone.
Joseph, TC Tan: December 4 at 7:27 am.
God is Uncreated Pure Spirit. Angel is created pure spirit. Man is created body and soul - mortal body and immortal soul. Spirit does not need matter for its existence or activities. Soul is a spirit which does not require matter for existence but it acts in and through the matter, the body, at least during man's life on earth. The soul is endowed with intellect and free will from which all man's operations flow, from which man's mind can conceive and understand beyond animals' which God put him to rule.
But body and soul are not two natures united. Their union form a single nature. Though the soul is immortal, after death (of the body) there is an incompleteness in its condition until it is reunited with its body at the end of the world. Our salvation, then, will be fully realized only with the Resurrection of the Body when the whole man will enjoy the beatitude of the life-to-come, in Heaven.

Good Morning to all my brothers and sisters in the Most Blessed Trinity, How good it is to be a Catholic and to receive such rich blessings & tradition in Christ. In the Name of Jesus I pray that by the two-edged sword of the Holy Spirit you severe all that is not of you in our lives. I pray that you would release your healing love to our bodies. How Great is our God. Sing with me How Great is our God and all will see how Great is our God.
In Christ,
Margaret
Micchael White: December 4 at 7:43 am.
We pray for the souls in purgatory. Does that mean that our soul suffers with us in purgatory? Does the soul of one who rejected God all one's life end up in eternal damnation?
Theresa Garcia: December 4 at 8:02 am.
Robert I pray for your healing each day since I first saw your post indicating you had cancer. I will continue to lift you and your family up in prayer every day, at every mass I attend and every holy hour I make. I will ask our Lord for a miricle healing. Thank you so much for your service to our country! May God bless you abundantly today andevery day.
John White: December 4 at 8:09 am.
Blessings and thanks for all these comments. Robert, God is using you in this forum to unite the rest of us in prayer. Scott, when I'm desperate, when I've run out of words, I submit my petition to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, so thanks for submitting it this morning.
wanda gresko: December 4 at 8:14 am.
@Robert I will pray for you the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Offer your sufferings to Jesus so he can use them for good. Even sufferings have value. That being said, I pray for your healing.
@Scott, thank you for the beautiful prayers.
@Micchael I believe our souls do the suffering in purgatory because our bodies and soul are separated at death until the final judgement after which we will receive our perfect body and reunite with our soul for eternity. Souls given us at the second of conception do not die. Hence those who condemn themselves to hell also do not die but are in eternal damnation. They choose this over loving and serving GOD.
Micchael White: December 4 at 8:14 am.
Does the soul experience purgatory? Does the soul of a condemed person go to hell?
Joseph, TC Tan: December 4 at 8:18 am.
@Micchael : Upon death, only our souls ( not our bodies) go direct to heaven, to purgatory or to hell. Our souls "suffers" whilst being cleansed in purgatory but look towards heaven, for every soul in purgatory is destined for heaven.
For a person who rejected God till death, he ends up in eternal damnation. He can be saved only if God decides to save him. Of course, there are many people who truly accept God at their death beds.
Mark Squires: December 4 at 9:52 am.
There is no separation of mind and body or soul and body.
They are one until death. The soul lives on for eternity. Upon death of our body we are physically dead. Our soul will not care about things on earth and what was because
we will be in the presence of God serving and praising Him.
Roberto Tordesillas: December 4 at 11:14 am.
Hi,Robert P. You are actually more blessed than most people. At least you can prepare yourself to be in the state of grace at the hour of death. Your soul will be saved. Even if it goes to purgatory, that would still be infinitely better than hell. At least you know that one day you will be enjoying eternal bliss in heaven. But having said this, I am still praying for your miraculous healing everyday before the Blessed Sacrament. And asking for the intercession of St. Padre Pio and Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. We should never second guess Jesus. We continue to pray for your complete healing, but at the end of our prayer, we always say, not our will but yours be done oh Lord. We will definitely also pray for your family. Oh by the way, I will try to find the email address of the healing Sister Bridget and send it to you. My sister in law got healed through her intercession. God bless, Robert.

Janice K: December 4 at 11:36 am.
Robert you are in my prayers also. I pray for your healing whatever healing God sees fit to heal you of. God can heal us in many ways. He can heal our minds as well as our bodies. Heal our family relationships and bring more love and caring in all members of the family. Pray together, laugh and you will truly experience the love of God as you have never felt it before. And our past experiences our what has taught us not to do or to do. There is one scripture saying that I often repeat in my mind as I begin to age and have heart trouble, cancer etc. (I am free of cancer at this time) And it gives me hope that I will be glorified with Him one day. Romans 8:17 "and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him."
I learned from the priest one time that our lives are like a triangle. Mind, body and soul and if one of them has a problem the other two will have a problem. Eg: if the mind is not thinking right the body will suffer and if we have also sinned which usually happens if our minds are not working right the soul suffers.
Lord you say be not afraid, remove any fear from our hearts and give all of us who are suffering, help us to place you deep into our hearts. Open our hearts even more to your love so that one day we will be glorified with you in heaven. Thanks you for all of the people who have replied above and who truly love you. There replies and there prayers really show how much love that they have for you. Lord We pray that the world will open there hearts and there minds to you. And that Your love will abound. And this world will be a better place. Blessed Mother please help all of your children to truly love as your Son who loves us. Thank you Lord. Amen

Prayer of Trust
O Holy Mary, my Mistress!
I commend my soul and body unto thy blessed and special trust today and every day, and at the hour of my passing hence.
To thee I entrust all my hope and consolation, all my anguish and miseries, my life and the end of my life, that through thy most holy intercession and thy merits, all my actions may be directed and disposed according to thy will and that of thy Son. Amen.
Healing Prayer
Beloved Mother, I come to you with prayers for healing of mind, body and spirit. I ask you to
hear my special concern (state petition) and to place my needs before your Son who you nurtured and cared for with all your heart. Help me to release all fears and doubts that cause me anxiety and bring me peace and comfort through your blessed intercession.
Let me be receptive of God's will and help me to learn compassion through my suffering. Teach me to love others as brothers and sisters in Christ.
Give me the strength and understanding to forgive and to receive others' forgiveness. Blessed Mother, help me to grow closer to your Son in everything I do. Renew my spirit and restore my soul through your intercession.
I seek your guidance and protection, remembering these words: "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." PS 51:10 All this I pray in Jesus' name. Amen.
TRINITY prayer by St. Francis Xavier:
I adore You, God the Father, who created me, I adore You, God the Son, who redeemed me, I adore You, God the Holy Ghost (Spirit) who have sanctified me, and continue to carry on the work of my sanctification. I consecrate this day entirely to Your love and to Your greater glory. I know the day will bring me either joys or troubles, whether I shall be happy or sorrowful, shall enjoy consolation or undergo pain and grief, it shall be as you please, I give myself into Your hands and submit myself to whatever You will. AMEN
I had to add some toay, I know I usually try not to fill the blog with my prayers. I had to, with all the prayers for Robert P. Please accept all as gifts. They truly are, at present the best I can do.
All Glory, Honor, and Praise is Yours, Almighty Father, forever and ever. AMEN
Cathy Ludwick: December 4 at 3:00 pm.
Robert P: must add my prayers with the others here. I have a list of those here that have prayer requests and you are a part of that list. May God be with you and your family.
Scott Reddicks: December 4 at 3:04 pm.
If I may, when the list gets too long to speak each name a good way that I have found to include all, known and unknown is the verse "for all those who have asked me to pray for them both in general and in particular..." His Majesty knows our minds, hearts, bodies and souls. He hears all.
Joseph, TC Tan: December 4 at 4:38 pm.
Dear Robert P, as when our Lord said, "For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them", Flocknote brothers and sisters are gathered together in minds (though not physically) praying to Him for His healings and His Mercy for you and your family. Our Lord is in our midst listening to the multiple prayers.
(I had offered prayers and devotions together as a group which are physically apart, because at times we simply could not gather together at the same place but we did not wish to postpone the regular prayers for my late godson's wife, but all praying at the same time coordinated by phones).
God Bless you and your family.
Joseph, TC Tan: December 4 at 6:02 pm.
It troubled me that 25% of people in Spain is unemployed, 50% are youths - heard over radio. 76% of the the people are Catholics. In Europe, our Christian brothers and sisters are suffering - Greece, Portugal, Italy, France (yes, a Frenchman just told me things are not as rosy). The most affected are the youths and the older folks. Let's keep our European brothers and sisters in our prayers too.

Hello friends. Scott do you ever sleep? I had a long day whereva lot of things went wrong. However I felt an overwheming sense of PEACE today rather than frustration. I have to thank all of you for helping me to pray, learn and strengthen my faith. Praise God from whom all Blessings flow! You friends are a true BLESSING!
Scott Reddicks: December 4 at 8:07 pm.
LOL Pamela, I sleep only a couple hours at a time. But such is life. Luckily I like to pray, so that's what I do while awake.

Scott you said you were a Nurse, you don't have a job? Love the prayers, thanks
Scott Reddicks: December 4 at 8:50 pm.
Not at the moment. I had an interview last Tuesday in New Mexico. It went well. Waiting on Corporate to okay the position and will be offered the job. The administrator called yesterday and said I have the job just waiting on paperwork to get through.
I also will need to get my licensure transferred to New Mexico from Louisiana. Haven't worked since February. Not hiring new grad level nurses here. Jindal preferrs to close state run hospitals than hire humans. Saves the state plenty, and looks good on paper. But for the humans, not such a good deal. I know many of us on foodstamps. I guess it's a little cheaper.
Scott Reddicks: December 4 at 9:27 pm.
Regina B., Thank you so much for bringing me to the divineoffice.org or savior.org site. My spirit of prayer is returning in droves. It's awesome once again. Even going to Mass more than on just Sundays again. Not worried about the gas anymore, well not completely. Still not back to daily, but it's foreward movement. Much has changed in such a short time. Was gonna private you, but I felt it better to tell everyone of such a wonderful site. I also ordered the books. LOL. That's just funny to me. I have no money to pay that back, just know something will give. Thank God for no debters prisons. LOL
Pamela Bloink: December 4 at 9:28 pm.
Scott good luck with your new job and the move. Michigan is always in need of nurses if you don't like New Mexico. I love it here in West Michigan.
art munarriz: December 4 at 11:33 pm.
Mark Squires - Greetings. I was taught that the soul is where the will and intellect reside and is the activating principle in the body. Sometimes intellect and will are called the "upper" part of the soul while the activating principle, the "lower" part, altho the soul is really one and has no parts. Having no parts it cannot deteriorate and die, so it is forever. Anyway, upon death the soul separates from the body. With its intellect and will it retains its memory of itself while still on earth. There is communication between the souls in heaven and in Purgatory with us thru prayer. Altho if we are in heaven we would be in the presence of God and adoring Him, that would not prevent us from interceding with God for those who ask for our help. This is the Communion of Saints ("Saints" here does not mean only canonized saints, but all in the friendship of God - in heaven, Purgatory and earth).
I have always said that at my funeral, I want no eulogies. They would never talk about my many sins anyway, but what good would all those sweet words do me? I would crave prayers, lots of it. I hope they have the patience to have long prayer sessions.
God bless you all. Please continue to pray that the RH bill in the Philippines does not pass. The battle isn't over yet. Thanks very much.
Art
Roberto Artadi: December 5 at 5:51 am.
For those who do not know what the "RH Bill" is about, there is a proposed law pending in the Philippines Congress to promote and finance contraception, among other things. The Church is opposing this because it teaches that contraception is against the will of God and is a serious evil. The justification of the pro-RH supporters is that it will help the poor mothers and families to effectively plan their families and avoid unwanted children. The move to have the bill passed is backed by UN, U.S., Mrs. Bill Gates Foundation and other multinational organizations who support abortion, and who provide substanctial lobby money for its passage. The bill also obliges everyone to help finance free distribution of condoms and sex education for children in the elementary and high school. Those who oppose the RH Bill point out that it will eventually result in the auhtorization of abortion, same sex marriage, divorce and similar secular policies now practiced in countries which have authorized contraception. From the very beginning, the Catholic Church prohibited contraception and all other churches followed the same rule. In the recent past, protestant churches authorized contraception, then abortion, same sex marriage and divorce followed. This is what Catholics in the Philippines want to prevent from happening in this country and are asking for your prayers.

Thank you, thank you and thank you again for your protection of all of us through your sevice to our country. I will also add you to my prayer list as all others who are a part of this group.
Scott Reddicks: December 5 at 9:56 am.
If same sex marriage is "approved", it doesn't mean that if your a man you "have" to marry a man. So it is with all the other bills that may pass. The Church will survive. I am opposed to the bill, and wish they would line item the bill, because I am not against saving lives through contraception. It's about saving lives to me, not having kids. Plenty, plenty are born to starve to death. We really don't need any more like that. Which are the children that same sex married people would adopt and love. I am against same sex marriage as well for the sake of the Church. Otherwise I really don't have an opinion on it either way. They are human and should be allowed something by their Maker to enjoy a "normal" life. Straight people make it a living hell for us already. Just my opinions. Will submit to the Church. But will save a life.
Ruth Johnson: December 5 at 4:43 pm.
@Scott - love the Consecration to the Sacred Heart Of Jesus; thanks for sharing.
364 and 367 stood out today as I learn more about how God sees and wants to save the WHOLE person. Most of my life, especially in later years, I've thought of the body mostly as a hindrance or something to be free from or something not good.
Question - I've noticed a few times in the CCC where scriptures are referred to specifically as "symbolic." Could anyone explain how the Church discerns when something is literal vs. symbolic? Being brought up a Protestant, Communion or the Lord's Super was always something I was taught was symbolic, but on my journey to Catholicism, I have come to see the words of Jesus in John 6 as literally talking about His literal body and blood. Most writings I've read on this show a distinction between how Jesus only gives us the literal words here vs. other situations where He shares a parable and then explains it's different, literal meaning. Then, recently in the CCC and in a homily I recently heard, comments are made about language being symbolic when the Bible doesn't explicitly say something is a sign/symbol for something else... so, I'm trying to understand how we discern when something is literal vs. symbolic?
