Restorative justice event held on Saturday, Nov. 17 at Cathedral in Sacramento

Families and friends of all faiths who are victims of crime are invited to participate in the Restorative Justice Memorial for Victims of Crime on Saturday, Nov. 17 at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, located at 1017 11th St. in Sacramento.

A restorative justice presentation and dialogue will take place at 2 p.m. on the Cathedral lower level, presented by Jack Dison and Patty O’Reilly (victim’s wife). At 4:30 p.m. in Cathedral Square, a “Wall of Pain” memorial will be displayed. The community is invited to include their loved ones’ names for this memorial wall and remembrance.

At 5 p.m. Bishop Jaime Soto will preside at Mass in the Cathedral. A reception will follow the Mass on the lower level.
