The Catholic Foundation of the Sacramento Diocese presents its 2011 annual report

Bishop Jaime Soto and the board of the directors of The Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of Sacramento have recently issued the foundation’s 2011 Annual Report.

In an introductory message to the report, Bishop Soto notes that the report provides an overview of the careful and respectful stewardship provided by himself, the Foundation Board, and staff. “We recognize the generous sacrifices these resources represent as well as the profound trust with which they are given. My co-workers and I reverence the sacred bond we share with all of you. Together, we are furthering the work of the Lord Jesus and His Church in the vast, diverse Diocese of Sacramento,” he says.

The report notes 2011 areas of progress: 1) Continuing to increase the participation level and financial results of the Annual Catholic Appeal; 2) Bishop Soto’s publishing of a diocesan-wide strategic plan; 3) Exploration of opportunities to raise capital for the financial resources of the strategic plan; and 4) Beginning the implementation of a newly-defined governance model for Catholic schools.
