Five seminarians are ordained to the transitional diaconate for diocese
Antonio B. Racela III, Arnold P. Parungao, Carlo Paul Gacutan Tejano, Ronald V. Torres and Colin Christopher Wen have recently been ordained to the transitional diaconate for the diocese. They will complete their studies by May of 2013 in preparation for their ordination to the priesthood. Ordination to the transitional diaconate marks one of the final aspects of preparation and transition before accepting full responsibility as an ordained priest.
Antonio B. Racela III, Arnold P. Parungao, and Ronald V. Torres all attend St. Patrick’s Seminary in Menlo Park and were ordained to the transitional diaconate on Sept. 29 at St. Pius Parish in Redwood City by the Most Reverend Salvatore J. Cordileone, Archbishop-designate of San Francisco. Colin Christopher Wen, enrolled at the Pontifical North American College in Vatican City State, was ordained in the Basilica of St. Peter in Rome, Italy on Oct. 4. Carolo Paul Gacutan Tejano attends seminary at Mount Angel Seminary, near Portland, Oregon. He was ordained Oct. 12 by the Archbishop John G. Vlazney of Portland, Ore.
