" "Catechesis is intimately bound up with the whole of the Church's life. Not only her geographical extension and numerical increase, but even more her inner growth and correspondence with God's plan depend essentially on catechesis." <--Gives you a whole new perspective as to how we should think about Church growth.

A copy has been on my shelves for years. I have dipped into it as a work of reference, but never really studied it. I hope and pray that I shall be able to keep up with this - and so I hope and pray for all others trying to do so. Thank you for the inspiration to organise this.

The SonRise Morning Show with Brian Patrick says that their radio program is "a better way to start your day." They now have some pretty stiff competition. :)

I am energized to be able to read the Catechism in this format. My good intentions of reading the Catechism "this year" never came to fruition. Thank you for making this available in bite sized pieces and sending it to me daily!

Patricia Collins: October 11 at 5:30 am.
I feel completely overwhelmed. Will there be this amount of reading every day. Just one line or paragraph gives enough food for a day's thought.
Theresa Hahn: October 11 at 5:31 am.
How great to hear from Catholics around the world. We are truly a Universal Church. Look forward to discussion and gaining of new insight into our faith.
How wonderful our God is--in 1.1- it says God, infinitely perfect and blessed in himself, in a plan of sheer goodness freely created man to make him share in his own blessed life (think of it! How glorious this is--) and goes on---For this reason, at every time and in every place, GOD DRAWS CLOSE TO MAN! (The creator draws us close to him--Wow!) HE calls man to seek him, to know him, to love him with all his strength. He calls together ALL men, scattered and divided by sin, INTO THE UNITY OF HIS FAMILY, THE CHURCH. To accomplish this, God sent his Son as Redeemer and Savior. In his Son and through him, he invites men to become, in the Holy Spirit, his adopted children and thus heirs of his blessed life. (Think of it! He calls us--- )

It's a wonderful way to be begin the Year of Faith along with the official Canadian lazor image of Our Lady of Guadalupe's in my home this week. There is a beautiful new "33 Days to Morning Glory' book study by Fr. Michael Gaitley from the Marians in Stockbridge Mass. USA to do alone or preferably in groups. To renew our consecration to Jesus through Mary. That would be a great way to build our faith with Mary our Mother. She taught the disciples! We loved it here in our city .Check it out here:

Barbara Valasek: October 11 at 6:37 am.
Thank you for the opportunity to go through the catechism with you and our brother and sisters in Christ.
Melanie Plaideau: October 11 at 6:38 am.
Yes catechisis is greatly needed in our own time. So many know nothing of God or His Church. Many within the Church do not know their faith. Many others choose to ignore many Truths of the Church. We must know the fullness and riches of our Faith and be joyful followers of our Lord so that we can lead others to the Lord and His Church. Thanks for doing this! May God bless you all and this endeavor!
Christina Furore: October 11 at 6:38 am.
Let us ask Our Lady of Good Help to assist us in our study of the Catechism, and above all to help us teach it to others. Our Lady of Good Help is the first approved apparition in the US (just approved) and the message of Our Lady to the young woman was to go out and catechise the children and people around her. She had no special skills, but did as Our Lady asked. This is what we all must do, and rely on God for the rest.
michael somoo: October 11 at 6:39 am.
Thank you. It is a great way to begin the year of faith. This e-community actually encourages us to read, reflect, and enhances our understanding of the catholic faith.
Kellie Schlosberg: October 11 at 6:40 am.
Thanks.. I was excited to start reading today. There is so much out there available to us through social media, it is easy to get distracted and have many fingers in the pie so to speak, so this is an excellent way that I can focus... We all can use "periods of renewal", this is a great start to our own renewal, as with renewal comes knowledge. AS with everything this must be done with prayer, as we will need the Holy Spirit with us to ensure we are receiving all that we as individuals and we a church need to evangelize to others.... blessings

Imagine if only 10% of Catholics take on this gift of reading the whole catechism in a year. What blessings could be found in this world. Thank you for this gift.
Karen Patyk: October 11 at 8:08 am.
What a perfect way to start the year of faith- to go back to the catechism to learn our faith.
Amanda Michalik: October 11 at 8:13 am.
This is so wonderful. I am really looking forward to this and seeing all the fruits which I know will abound. You have to know the Faith to teach the Faith. Let go out there and evangelize.
Elizabeth Kuehn: October 11 at 8:14 am.
Thank you for this. I'm on the RCIA team at Sacred Heart Crosby,TX and though the Catechumens all have a hard copy of the Catechism, this gives them the opportunity to read it every day. What a great tool and I'm looking forward to starting my day with it too.

Arizona is beginning to chime in. This is wonderful. I have a copy on my shelves as well (I read where someone else stated this for themselves) that I look into for reference from time to time, but am looking forward to reading the whole book a bit at a time. I think by receiving it via email rather than open the book makes it easier. I am forwarding day one on to others as I forwarded on originally via FB. Thank you for this. Any way to send up bits of the Holy Bible as well? Day one done...Check! May God Bless everyone.
Tish Allen: October 11 at 8:24 am.

First day. Looking forward to the reading it every morning.
Kaye Fairweather: October 11 at 8:44 am.
What stuck me as a grandmother was the admonition in #3 to pass on the faith by word, deed, and prayer. God sees everyone as important in His kingdom with tasks to accomplish although our modern culture tends to denigrate people who are either too young or past their prime.
Thank you for encouraging me to take the Catechism off the reference book shelf and start putting it into my heart.
Nikki Christopher: October 11 at 8:53 am.
Hi from Trinidad and Tobago. Looking forward to this year, reading just a piece at a time without being distracted by what else is to come is definitely what I need.
Paula Lee: October 11 at 8:54 am.
Man, men, man, men, man, men...this is why I have not been able to read the Catechism before. I realize its significance, but the decision not to use language that includes me and other women is painful and divisive.
Christine McArdle: October 11 at 8:55 am.
What a wonderful gift for us all to be able to study the Catechism during this Year of Faith! Also, so awesome to read responses from all over the world-way to follow your calling Matthew! Blessings to all from Houston, TX.
Mike Coupland: October 11 at 8:58 am.
Thanks for Ontario Canada too. This is a great idea and I'm thrilled to follow along.
Jesus Zuno: October 11 at 9:04 am.
Looking forward to day two, if only we can reach everyone, especially our children!
M Karen Redenbaugh: October 11 at 9:05 am.
What a blessing!!!! Thank you for doing this. May God bless you and all during this Year of Faith. May our Faith be stronger and our love for our Heavenly Father, Son and Holy Spirit, grow along with our own surrender and trust. Is there a way for this to be on Amazon or for our Kindles to access it?
