Vocation Committee training sessions offered on four dates beginning Sept. 13

Motivated by Bishop Jaime Soto’s strategic plan for vocations, the diocesan offices of priestly and religious vocations and youth and young adult ministry are joining efforts to offer four training sessions for parish vocations committees and anyone interested in promoting vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

The sessions are titled CAPS – connection, awareness, prayer and stewardship. One of the four topics will be covered on each training date. The dates are Sept. 13, Oct. 11, Nov. 8 and Dec. 13 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Using the diocese’s video teleconferencing system, the sessions will be held at four sites: the Diocesan Pastoral Center at 2110 Broadway in Sacramento; at Holy Spirit Parish, 1050 N. Texas St. in Fairfield; at Our Lady of Mercy Parish, 2600 Shasta View Dr. in Redding; and at Our Divine Savior Parish, 566 E. Lassen Ave. in Chico.

To RSVP or for more information, contact your parish vocation committee or call the Office of Vocations at (916) 733-0258, or send an e-mail inquiry to Msmith@scd.org.
