Catholic Communication Campaign collection is Aug. 18-19 in parishes in the Diocese of Sacramento

Parishes in the Diocese of Sacramento will take up a second collection for the Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC) during liturgies the weekend of Aug. 18-19.

Through the generous donations of parishioners, the CCC is able to spread the message of the Gospel. The CCC funds the development of traditional and new media programs that inspire and minister to their audiences.

The Catholic Communication Campaign follows the Holy Father’s direction that Catholics make good use of their digital presence in the world by making it easy to access the important ideals of the Catholic faith online and through television, radio, and print media. CCC provides content the way you need it, in podcasts for daily readings, on websites to connect with other faithful, and on social networking sites. Please be generous and support this important work.

Half of the collection from the Diocese of Sacramento stays in the diocese to support local communication efforts, while the other half supports national Catholic media initiatives. CCC is how the Good News gets around to you.
