Deacon Frank Enderle is new director of clergy formation for diocese
Deacon Frank Enderle has been appointed by Bishop Jaime Soto to serve as director of clergy formation for the Diocese of Sacramento, effective July 2.
Deacon Enderle brings an extensive background in diaconate formation to his new role. For several years, he served as the executive director for deacons in the Archdiocese of Washington, D.C.
He also served as coordinator for diaconate formation in the Diocese of San Bernardino. Most recent, through the use of online education, Deacon Enderle has worked for the Archdiocese of Denver in formation and as a facilitator for the deacon formation program in both Spanish and English, while living in southern California.
As director of clergy formation for the diocese, Deacon Enderle will be responsible for the formation process for deacon candidates, as well as continuing education programs for both priests and deacons. He will report to the diocese’s new Vicar for Clergy, Father Blaise Berg.
Deacon Enderle holds a bachelor’s degree in Arabic and a master’s degree in pastoral theology. He also also done graduate studies in educational counseling and international relations. He has written several books containing homily reflections in Spanish and English and has taught homiletics, pastoral theology and church history in deacon formation programs.
