Training day offered Nov. 20 on 'Great Adventure' Bible study

The Diocese of Sacramento is sponsoring “The Great Adventure Training Day†on Saturday Nov. 20 at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, located at 4450 Granite Dr. in Rocklin.

The Great Adventure is a Bible study program that seeks to draw people into a transforming relationship with Christ through Scripture as it is read from within the heart of the Catholic Church. It can be distinguished from other Bible studies programs by its central feature, the Bible Timeline learning system. The presenters will be Kelly Wahlquist, who has coordinated multiple Bible studies from various churches in the Archdiocese of St. Paul-Minneapolis, and Anne Marie Chiaravalloti, a group specialist.

The training day is an excellent opportunity for participants to gain insight into implementing and maintaining a fruitful Bible study experience at the parish level with small groups. The workshop is offered for Great Adventure Bible study leaders, core team members, small group facilitators anyone looking to lead a dynamic Catholic Bible study.

The day will begin with Mass at 8:30 a.m., following by the training from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $65 for Bible study leaders (includes lunch and comprehensive leader’s manual) or $45 for core team members (includes lunch and core team materials). Participants must register by Nov. 10. For more information, visit http://www.november20.info.
