New Feature: Inserting Images and Video

First - we still have more free stuff to give away if you answer these 10 questions.

Second, we've recently added the ability to more easily insert images and even videos right into your Notes on Flocknote.

Inserting Images

Now you can upload any images straight from your computer and insert it into any Note you're creating. Simply click the "Insert Image" link right above your editing toolbar when creating a new Note.

Then just follow the instructions and Flocknote will insert it nicely into your Newsletter for you. It will even give you the option to float the image to the left or right and let your body text flow around it. Flocknote also automatically handles all of the resizing of images and formatting so that it fits optimally within the width of your Note. (If you don't like the default formatting, you can always select the image and then click the little "tree/portrait" icon in the toolbar to edit it further.)

Inserting Videos

This feature we are particularly excited about. It's so simple, too, and lets you easily insert any Youtube or Vimeo video into any Note you send on Flocknote. All you need is the link to the video - that's it!

Simply click the "Insert Video" option found above the toolbar...

And then copy and paste your youtube/vimeo link into the field.

Click the "Place Video in Note" button.

Boom. Done.

You'll see what's called a "video merge tag" (...video=http:// youtube...) in the editable form of your Note. That's how we know where to insert the video.

Flocknote does the rest of the magic for you once you click the "Send Note" button. After that, Flocknote auotmatically creates a nicely formatted clickable picture of the video for you that gets sent out in the email form of your Note. But when anyone views your note on the web, it's the embedded, watchable video - like this:

Pretty sweet. Hope you like it. Go ahead and give it a try. Find one of your favorite youtube videos and share it with your flock!
