All Flocknote Networks now get a Txt-to-Register keyword for FREE. This used to be $8 / month. Now it's free. We also lowered the one-time per-registrant price down to a dime per person.
As Flocknote grows, we are able to offer more stuff for less cost to you. So thank you for making this possible by supporting Flocknote. We hope to do more of this as we continue to grow.
Learn more about how Text-to-Register works here. But basically, in case you're unfamiliar, it's the easiest way for your subscribers to join your Network and for them to "opt-in" to get text message notifications from you.
It allows you to capture people while they are standing right in front of you on Sunday or at any meeting or gathering. Within a minute or so, Flocknote helps you gather a phone number and email address from your members AND get them subscribed to your Lists - just by asking them to text in.
As mentioned, while the keyword of your choice is now free, it will still cost 10 cents per person that texts in. This is a one time charge per person and helps to cover our costs for the service. (FYI - you can still send unlimited text message notifications to them after that for no additional charge.)
To start using your keyword, a Network Admin simply needs to go to your Network page, click the red "Edit" link, and then go to the "Text-to-Register" tab. There you can set your KEYWORD and connect it to any List in your Network.
There are two key ways Networks generally use Text-to-Register:
1) To initially get people into the system and get them registered. Just connect your keyword to your Master List. Flocknote will do the rest after they text in your keyword and then their email address.
2) To build a "text alerts" List for a particular group or minsitry. In this case, simply connect your keyword to the specific List you want to build. When people text in, they will be automatically subscribed to get text updates from that List. (They will, of course, also be added to your Master List by default and they can still text in their email address and complete their registration with your Network if they'd like).
Many Networks get multiple keywords and use it both (or still other) ways.
