About Flocknote

Once upon a time there was a beautiful Church, and sometimes it didn't communicate as well as it needed to. So Matthew Warner, an engineer and active parishioner in the Fort Worth Diocese, decided to create Flocknote — a simple way to send email newsletters, text messages and even phone calls to your flock. And the best part? It was designed specifically for Catholic parishes, dioceses, schools and organizations.

Flocknote was founded in 2009 as a beta test project, but after a year of working with parishes and receiving invaluable feedback, the first fully supported service was launched in the Summer of 2010. Since then, it has continued to grow and improve and now serves many parishes and dioceses all over the country. Our team has been growing, too.

The concept behind Flocknote is simple. We believe that simple is beautiful — and effective. We know that in order for a new tool to work at a parish, it has to be immediately practical and really easy to start using. So we pride ourselves not in having a lot of features, but in having the right features for you. And we work hard with our users — both through the Flocknote service and through other efforts like our blog and flocktalk — to help Church leaders become powerful communicators in this information age.
